Call for Contributions
Scholars and PhD students in drama studies are invited to offer abstracts of prospective papers for a special section in one of the 2013 issues of the Hungarian Journal of English and American Studies (HJEAS), the MLA indexed journal published by the Institute of English and American Studies at University of Debrecen, Hungary.
The special section will be titled Revisions of the Dramatic Canon: The Work of Caryl Churchill and Contemporary British Playwriting by Women. It will be edited in honour of the widely known and acclaimed playwright Caryl Churchill to mark the occasion of her completing seventy-five in 2013. The description "British" refers to writers from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well.
Abstracts of about 500 words should be sent to the section editor before 1 February 2012. Contributors will be notified about the decision concerning their proposal during the first part of February 2012. Papers of the selected authors are expected to be sent to the section editor via e-mail by 1 August 2012. They should use the house style of HJEAS, conforming to the latest MLA style with inside references keyed to the Works Cited section.
The length of the papers should be 6,000-7,000 words. Each submission will be refereed by two peer readers.
