IFTR: International Federation for Theatre Research
The International Federation for Theatre Research exists to promote collaboration and the exchange of information between individuals and organisations concerned with theatre research. To this end the Federation supports conferences and publications and assists its members in all such activities and projects.
ASTR: American Society for Theatre Research
The ASTR website offers users information on the society as well as conference information, membership details, access to the ASTR list-serve, CFP's and book review guidelines for Theatre Survey and information on prizes, grants and fellowships. The site's list of resources include information on book publsihers, job postings, Doctoral programs, and online primary and secondary sources.

IASIL: The International Association for the Study of Irish Literatures
IASIL was formed in 1970 with the chartered aims of promoting the teaching and study of Irish literature in third-level education throughout the world, facilitating international contact between scholars researching in the field of Irish Literary Studies, serving as a vehicle for bringing Irish writing to a wider audience throughout the world.
ACIS: The American Conference for Irish Studies
The American Conference
for Irish Studies is a multidisciplinary scholarly organization with approximately
800 members in the United States, Ireland, Canada, and other countries
around the world. Each spring the ACIS holds a national conference attended
by 300-400 people from the academic community and the general public.
Each fall meetings are held in the New England, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest,
and Western regions; the Southern regional takes place in the winter.
The ACIS also sponsors joint sessions with the American Historical Association
and the Modern Language Association at their annual conventions.
EFACIS: The European Federation of Associations and Centres of Irish Studies
The European Federation of Associations and Centres of Irish Studies (EFACIS) was founded to promote interest in and support the expansion of Irish Studies throughout Europe.
Our focus is the study and debate of all aspects of society, culture and literature of the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the Irish diaspora within the humanities and social sciences.
EFACIS encourages as wide a range of organisations as possible to raise the profile of the subject area, to enhance the participation levels in Irish Studies and to further contacts between those involved in Irish Studies in the region.
