Graduate Studies
ISTR has a thriving graduate community that are an integral part of the society. The current Graduate Studies Representative is Mary Caulfield. As the Graduate Studies Representative, Mary is the point of contact for the graduate-student community within ISTR.
Mary is in the final stages of writing her Ph.D at Trinity College Dublin, where she has been researching and teaching for the last four years. Her dissertation is entitled, "The Woman With a Garden: The Artistry and Activism of Constance Markievicz 1908-1927" and her research interests include uncovering the theatrical and political efforts of women during the Nation-building process.
By uniting the graduate-student community we hope to facilitate communication among members enabling both the exchange of ideas as well as convenient access to information regarding each member's local archives, scholarship and/or professional resources.
Please contact Mary regarding any ideas you have regarding ISTR as we hope an organized graduate-student effort will provide a way for emerging Irish theatre scholars to contribute to an organization that will be part of our scholarship and careers for years to come.
